Brow Pencil – How to Use

Are you a pencil babe and like your brows with feathery strokes?

An eyebrow pencil is probably the easiest product to use for beginners.  If you have a good quality pencil with a sharp tip, you can achieve perfect natural looking brows.

The benefits of using an eyebrow pencil.

Like foundation you can build the thickness of your brows with a pencil.  You can either fill in sparse areas or you can go the full sha bang and have a thick, full look.

If you’re super busy, the pencil is your best option.

So where do you start?

  1. Map out your brows

Grab a makeup brush or a ruler and hold it on an angle

from the corner of your nose, placing it vertically to your inner corner of your eye. This is where your brow should start and if needed, draw a small line with your pencil.

  1. The arch of your brow

Lay the brush/ruler in a line from the corner of your nose to the centre of your pupil. This is where your arch should be.  Place a small line with your pencil.

  1. The end of your brow

Place the brush/ruler from the corner of your nose to the outer corner of your eye. Mark a small line. Ensure that you don’t extend past this line, as it can make your eyes look droopy.

Brush up your brows

Take your spoolie and brush your brows upwards.  If you are blessed with brow hairs that stay in place all day, well you are super lucky.  If not, we suggest using our Sei Du Brow Soap.

(If you are unfamiliar with our brow soap, here is a link on how to use………..)

Fill In Your Brows

Now it is the fun part!

With a light hand, create small flicking motions in the direction of your hairs. This will give your brows a natural look.

We recommend working your way from the inner corner to the end of your eyebrow.  But you know, you do you boo.

Brush your brows

Grab your spoolie and brush your brows one more time, as this will help soften any harsh lines.  If you have used the Sei Du Brow Soap, use a clean spoolie.
